Charity of the Year
For the eighth year in a row, we have chosen The Children's Angel Foundation as our Charity of the Year. The Children's Angel Foundation (CAF) is the fundraising arm of Hacienda, Inc. and Los Ninos Hospital, Inc., Arizona's leading provider (since 1967) of specialized services to infants, children and young adults who have medical, physical and intellectual impairments due to debilitating diseases, genetic disorders, accidents and abuse. For more information about CAF, click here. Or call Toni Mohney/Public Relations and Event Coordinator at or email: .
Random Acts of Kindness
"The Random Acts of Kindness Foundation inspires people to practice kindness and to "pass it on" to others." The Community Outreach Committee of HSMAI promotes RAK throughout the year with a variety of community service projects and ideas meant to inspire involvement.
"As people from different cultures and from all walks of life are joining to spread kindness, they are creating a powerful, synergistic action throughout the world. Please join us in bringing kindness and compassion to our local and global communities!"
HSMAI members are a network of caring individuals who have the power to keep the momentum going.
The Greater Phoenix Chapter is acknowledging your RAK this year through submissions of a "Caught in the Act" form. If you saw, or know of, a random act of kindness performed by an HSMAI member, please share it with us.
For a faxable form to fill-out, click here.

Dec. TBD Christmas caroling at senior citizen's facilities
Go caroling with HSMAI... Get in the holiday spirit and join us as we serenade senior citizens with Christmas carols at local nursing homes and rehabilitation centers. This is a fun and uplifting time well spent with appreciative seniors who love to sing along. Our enthusiasm is contagious and we bring along our very own elf, Alma Pink who is our unknowing ringer - in one resident's words, "it coulda bin boring without the elf!" Not true! To sign up, please email Tamara Meyer at .
